After being in and out of domestic violence for 20 years, Latifah Hameen finally broke the cycle  of abuse in 2006 and  wrote her first book. Then in 2007, she started a nonprofit, Healthy Positive Choices, whereby they provide education on Domestic Violence Awareness to teens and adults.
